how crazy is it that i'm doing a media round-up for the second time. how crazy is it that i actually consumed content. how crazy is that i actually have things to say. also why did this month feel like three months when the rest of 2021 combined felt like one month... anyways. let's get into it!

atypical season 4 (2021)

like every other season of atypical i went to netflix and watched the whole thing in one sitting and girl was this season a ride wtf 😃 literally so much happened. this season was darker if compared to the other ones, which is understandable because well the world is ENDING and of course that would have an impact on the writers, but i did not see all of that coming ummm. anyways CAZZIE <3 i knew in my heart they were going to be endgame because there was no fucking way they were going to DARE not giving me that but i’m still so glad it actually happened. also rest in peace “izzie no last name” jokes and hello to “izzie taylor love of my life” like yes atypical is over now but i will never stop being part of the SHOOTERS FOR IZZIE movement it is that serious. also #fuck_izzie’s_mother’s_lives and #fuck_doug_lives etc i don’t wanna know about them!!! you mess with izzie taylor you mess with me <3 also, cazzie spin-off when...

victorious season 2 (2011)

yes, the victorious re-watching continues. let me just start this part by saying i did not notice beck was gone until he came back like... when you don't care about MEN at all. victorious is just tori, jade, cat, andré, trina and sometimes beck is there i guess and robbie and the puppet are just annoying so i just ignore their existence most of the time <3 no but tbh this season was so weak if compared to season 1 which is :/ not just the plot but the jori moments from season 1 are just soooooo much better. yes the jori insanity continues too... everyone is allowed to have one (1) ship from a kids/teens channel that you unironically love okay. let me BE

druck season 6 (2020-2021)

[lady gaga’s voice] talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before etc… i won’t talk much about them here because i already made an entire post screaming about why i love kieutou so much. but please please please do yourself a favor and watch druck season 6.

other than that i started watching nevertheless for soljiwan and oh my god why are they PERFECT. the main pairing sucks and i find myself skipping 90% of their scenes but i don't mind because i'll do anything for SOLJIWAN. expect a soljiwan screaming post once nevertheless is over <3

the impact druck’s soundtrack had on me… 4/10 of the songs in the list are from druck’s soundtrack and those aren’t the only ones i fell in love with because of the show. another songs i’ve discovered thanks to druck were like you do by joji and summertime in paris by jaden which i’m still obsessed with and listen to them daily. actually i already knew fever by dua but i didn’t really care about this song that much… kieutou changed everything <3

as usual wjsn can’t let me live, but what can i do if their discography is perfect and never gets old? also BLACKPINK!! i’ve read a lot of blackpink fics this month and it made me want to listen to their songs all the time. love fool and where is love came out months ago and i'm still not over these songs... not only i love the production from both songs but the lyrics make me go insane too ;_; i find myself listening to them a lot when i'm reading or writing.

other songs i listened to a lot this month were safe from heartbreak (if you never fall in love) by wolf alice and your heart is a muscle by carly rae jepsen! i absolutely adore the lyrics from both of these songs and i think they'll become part of a lot of my fic playlists in the future.

dreamcatcher’s comeback was literally perfect i am losing my mind the title track the mv the bsides everything… expect a bunch of dreamcatcher scrobbles in august!

i didn't watch any actual variety shows this month because 1. i was busy watching atypical/victorious/druck/nevertheless + 2. olympics started and my only personality trait during the olympics is being BRAZILIAN. but i still wanted to register a few kpop-related things that were on my mind through the month here!

forget everything positive i said during last month's media round-up because i'm back at feeling insane because of fic writing. i had about 1923874 writing crisis this month and moved my old itzy fics to an archive account because i couldn't stand seeing that ITZY (Band) (10) on my profile knowing damn well i didn't like most of them anymore... but anyways. i will get better and stop feeling like a broken writer/failure soon <3 hopefully <3

what i wrote this month:

• as long as i'm here | seola/exy, 3.4k — sometimes i forget i wrote this, not because i don't like it (actually i do like this one a lot) but because i wrote it SO FAST and didn't SUFFER while doing it like it usually happens lmao. the idea came to me, i wrote everything in one day and published it. i can't remember the last time something like this happened to me but i'm really glad i wrote this (and the comments were so sweet too omg ;_;). let's go 2jung nation!
• untitled wip | jisoo/rosé, 800w — chaesoo brainrot is real etc... i think my problem with this wip is that the beginning is sounding a bit weird to me and i can't figure out how to fix it and that's why i haven't continued it yet ;_; please root for me, it would make me so happy to put out a chaesoo fic this year :(
