[grunting like an old man] why am i back here (kpop). just kidding i am not. i'm NOT! not like i was before, at least. overall i'm listening to the same old artists i already liked before, riize being the only exception. i'm not the biggest fan of their other songs-not that i think they're bad or anything, i just don't care about them enough to put them on. but love 119, oh god... it was love at first listen. we'll see if they'll keep up the good work and continue to be a bg that i like, which is fucking rare but we never know.

anyway, quick thoughts on some albums:

inside out: kim hyunjung... kim hyunjung of the universe... i knew this single album was going to be good because when have i ever disliked anything hyunjung has done? but she still managed to surprise me. i've ranted a little bit about it to my friends/on my priv but i'm so proud of her. it's so weird because, no i don't know you, but yes i've been watching you since your debut and i've seen you grow into this amazing musician and lyricist and it feels like my heart is about to explode whenever i think about it too much. thankfully all of my friends/mutuals went through similar emotions so i don't feel That insane, yk. i liked all of the songs but let's talk got me by the throat, that song is so good and i already have some really good memories attached to it (aka going to the park behind my sister's apartment to write and people watch, cycling to the bakery after doing so, buying ice cream, existing blissfully surrounded by green... just an incredible day overall, and i had that song on loop for most of it) so it will probably grow to become one of my favorite kpop songs ever!

girl with no face: omg ult bias comeback! no really, it's crazy to think it's been [checks notes] four years since allie released her last album, but the wait was definitely worth it. this woman will never let go of synthpop and i couldn't be more glad, because if there's something she knows how to do is a synthpop masterpiece. i rated every song in the album here but my here's my top three so far: black eye (this one came out last year, and i remember liking it a lot but making a promise with myself to not listen to it again until the album came out, and let's just say my mind was BLOWN), galina and off with her tits.

heaven knows: i accidentally became obsessed with this album not even a week ago. and i say accidentally because i liked, what? three songs from it and decided to play the album on shuffle while i was busy doing something else, not knowing it was going to drive me insane. her growth from to hell with it is honestly admirable and i'll be looking forward to her future projects. my top three so far: feelings (insanest production i've ever heard omfg... my soul leaves my body every single time), capable of love, ophelia. shoutout to mosquito, though! that song is incredible too.

i already talked a little bit about my love for autoheart's music here, and i'm still in the process of really paying attention and dissecting their songs and lyrics and whatnot, so i don't have anything else to say for now. new autoheart discography post in a few months, maybe? we'll see.

oh it's bad for me... what do you mean it's been two months and this is all i watched so far? my letterboxd/tvtime accounts are crying for help. anyway, thoughts on some stuff i watched:

what if s2: now... why was this SO GOOD? i was on the edge of my seat every episode!!!! so much better than season 1!!! i swear to god i still think about the first episode every day, it genuinely made me like and understand nebula so much more as a character (i already loved her, but you get what i mean) even though it's an alternative universe. huge shoutout to episode five too *sighs dreamily* *kicks feet in the air* *twirls hair* merlin wanda... ah... man, i'm in love with wanda maximoff and every single version of her there is in this fucking cinematic universe. what's new. honestly, with the state of the mcu right now (i'm hating not in a white cishet dude who thinks tony stark is the greatest character to ever exist, more in a: i couldn't care less about wolverine and deadpool and teams with just one (1) woman in it and whatever other boring incel project they're preparing to invest in way. kevin feige, my sibling in christ, where the fuck is scarlet witch 1? ENOUGH OF MEN) i can only hope and pray that season three will be as good as season two.

love for love's sake: i'm gonna be very honest, i only watched this because i saw a web weaving about it on tumblr and got curious. and i only finished watching it because it turned out that my beloved son cha woongki was in it, even though he only has two minutes of screentime every episode. where is the ahn siblings spin-off?

saving my thoughts about chaser game w and love and leashes for when i finish watching both of them. okay, let's move on.

um, why did i watch this. why why why. i have a talent called being able to get 2jung brainrot from absolutely anything, even if it doesn't involve them, so imagine the state of my brain after watching a one hour video of them of them talking about a multitude of topics, most of which are about each other and their friendship? i almost died. insanity aside, this is an essential watch for 2jung sickos like me. it made me want to make an updated (?) version of my 2jung primer, with other moments that happened after it (which were a LOT. for reference, my 2jung primer is predates the unprovoked 15 years of friendship instagram post, so Imagine That.) so i'm saving most thoughts for a future 2jung focused post, please look forward to it!

some other wjsn-related thoughts that could not let me live as a normal person:

99z... [punches table] [breaks a chair in half] i ranted a bit about my 99z thoughts here but i'll let you guys know that's not even HALF of it. they're so different from each other in so many ways (i think my random obsession with 99z started exactly because i couldn't stop noticing these differences-some big, some small, but they're there and they're very important to me) but they still fit so well together, as if they've known each other their whole lives? something something they're so slice-of-life childhood friends small town coded. i'm dying to write a fic about them.

seolbin codependency... i saw a tweet on my tl the other day that said something along the lines of "why would i want (the people in) my ship to be normal about each other?" and i was like you are SO right op. why would i want that!!! emotional constipation is cool and all but so is blatant obsession, which lead me to doing this (pls don't like or reblog this post, this blog is just for me to be able to Visualize some brainrot stuff lol) which then had me thinking... seolbin jackieshauna? WAIT. i also think 2jung could be jackieshauna-coded but... do you see the vision? tl;dr: i think seolbin is overlooked considering the amount of unbelievable moments they have.

snsd obsession still alive and well. every now and then me and my best friends hop on a call and spend countless hours watching snsd content, which is always the highlight of my week. we laugh, we cry, we make fun of them, we make fun of each other, we diss (affectionately) each other's biases, we call each other the most absurd things when we put on rps vids or hot fancams... it's AMAZING.

other than still listening to their songs like an insane person, i've also been interest in taeyeon/sunny/tiffany triangulation lately. everyone that knows me knows i'm not normal about taeny, but dandyu and 2ny are kind of driving me insane too. that being said, i've been searching every corner of the internet for fics of these two ships (which has been quite the experience because, well, they're nowhere as popular as taeny so i have to dig really deep lol) and i've had the pleasure to stumble across some really good ones that have altered my brain chemistry. i should make a snsd fic rec post soon...

itzy: CHWEJISU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD I COULD CRY!!!!!!!!!!! it felt so good to see my girl after so long, she looks so good and so healthy and so beautiful as always :( i'll be brief in order not to be corny on main but i love her so so so so so much i hope she's always happy and well and surrounded by good things.

ateez: i went to check on ateez stuff i hadn't paid attention to yet (aka bouncy and crazy form) and !@#$%@ i'm obsessed. can always count on them to deliver the most insane (pos) loud music i've ever heard. i've imagined 1273483 wjsn aus based on the lore from these two mvs which i have no idea if they'll ever see the light of day, but i've been having fun with them anyway. 9024 kick that drum my ego in this show!!! fuck!!! so good!!!

le sserafim: not them becoming stan twt's newest punching bag... honestly idgaf!! easy is good TO ME!! i will shake my ass to it every single time it comes on!! le sserafim i will never turn my back on you.

8k published words + around 3k of wips isn't that bad for someone who spent months not writing shit! the twitter drabbles thing was an amazing experience (which i'm not done with! i still want to write the other prompts) and made me realize i should start writing more silly drabbles for practice.

i'm currently a bit frustrated because i'm going through an awful writer's block, but hopefully some of the brainrot i talked about earlier will save me from it. [repeats to myself like a mantra] writing fic is not that serious this is just silly little kpop yuri rpf. you'll be fine.

[awkward smile] why am i like this. to my defense, most of these comics were on an insane sale, and when i say insane i'm talking comics for R$5 which is basically unheard of, so my hands itched and i bought them. i think the most expensive one out of all of these was poison ivy vol. 2. it costed me around R$40, which is crazy for a regular non-hard cover comic but i needed to get my hands on it asap. vol. 1 was the greatest thing i've read in a very long time, so... very excited to read it!

i bought some vol 2s without having their respective vol 1s because they were crazy cheap like i mentioned, so i'm just going to wait until i find the missing ones for a good price before i start reading them. i still have quite a few comics on my wishlist, but i don't know if i'm going to buy any of them in march. i need to actually start/finish reading some of these before i even think of adding more to my physical collection lol...

as for snsd [little jumps of happiness] i'm so happy with how my collection is turning out! i don't expect i'll be able to own every single one of their albums because the importation prices are batshit insane, but i'll just try to grab one here or there when i find them for a decent price. when i tell you i screamed when i found twinkle on ebay with a tiffany pc... i didn't even think twice before i purchased it. i had to pay importation fees for it which fucking sucks, but at least it's here! as for mr mr, my best friend gifted it to me out of nowhere ;_; she just told she had bought something for me, and i was like wtf do you mean?!?!? and when it got here it was the one and only snsd album i've been dreaming of owning since i was fourteen... amy if you're reading this [tiffany's voice] I FUCKING LOVE YEW!
